By creating memorable experiences that are potentially transformative, the design intent is to al-low opportunities for creative expression and idea exchange, hence, fostering a community with a sense of rootedness and connection. The white bay power station will serve as a public building in an urban environment that is made to support the art community, its culture and its future, establishing a landmark within this context for collective use by both local residents and international visitors. The vision is to create a multi-faceted cradle place that respects the great cultural, architectural and heritage significance of the building while revitalising their shared forecourt into a lo-cal and international destination — a place to meet, exchange and enjoy.
