Memoria.
‘Memoria exists as an island of memory within the city. It commemorates and confronts the culture of collective memory and its effect on the community. The proposal seeks to use WBPS as a vehicle of commentary, creating memory dialogues, unearthing our relationships with place and the past through strategic spatial sequencing. Confronting rhetoric and political mythology, reconciling loss of identity and rationalising through the facilitation of collective consciousness. The journey is one of healing, of sedimented memory and commentary on a contentious past.’
