Nura means dreaming in the Durag Language. This new Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Centre is de-signed to showcase Aboriginal culture the various modes of storytelling representations to educate people about dreamtime and their culture. Each space gives users an opportunity of gathering and connecting to the landscape of La Perouse. The spaces take influence from the natural landscape as well as an underpinning of Aboriginal Symbols throughout. The space is designed to celebrate all aspects of aboriginal culture and allowing their stories to be shared and passed down. This allows people from all walks of life to experience a greater connection to aboriginal culture by the merg-ing of old and new aboriginal art interpretations together.
