Art Revitalisation

With a focus of revitalisation of art and cultural development in Sydney, this design project transforms the heritage site into an art district, which brings people together to experience the whole process of creation, expression and perception of art. The art district consists of three establishments: Art Incubator (Cable Station), Restaurant (Watchtower) and Art Exhibition Centre ( Bare Island). Considering of the currently survival conditions of the artist group, the art incubator creates a multi-functional space to fulfil the needs of social, working and individual life. The restaurant embracing the historical Watchtower is to create a connection be-tween art and daily life beyond time and space. The exhibition centre focuses on artistic and cultural sustainability, promoting emerging talents and welcoming diverse audience to flourish different forms of art.
