Mode Découverte La Perouse

Mode Découverte La Perouse aims to provide La Perouse, as well as the wider Sydney and Global community, with an accessible societal hub of fashion and innovation. Translated literally, Mode Découverte means to discover fashion. The fashion quarter contains a world class museum dedicated to both fashion and fashion show ephemera, a new civic centre, a 5-star restaurant, on-site accommodation as well as an upgrade to the existing surrounding parklands. The new precinct will place an emphasis on ‘production’ and the act of ‘manufacture’. The inherent theme of creation connects the differing programs intrinsically, whilst simultaneously displaying a combination of both local and global examples of fashion and innovation. Mode Découverte La Perouse will offer opportunity, foster civic engagement and ultimately encourage innovation through creation.
