Creative Exchange
White Bay Power Station will be transformed into a Creative Exchange centre that cultivates people’s creative practice and fosters healthy cultural interactions through fluid knowledge sharing.
To thrive for a collaborative cultural sector in Sydney, we must offer facilities that can build communities where people can meet and connect, celebrate identity and shared values, understand difference and diversity. It is found that Sydney has a critical lack of accessible spaces that meet the creative demands and needs of all people in NSW, where only 48% of the community engage and participate in these spaces.
The centre will use digital technology as a tool to create more inclusive participation where people can comfortably learn and share knowledge with one and another. This kind of exchange can help us overcome barriers and open up to new possibilities.
