PAUSE
PA[II]SE. aims to approach the revitalisation of the White Bay Power station/Wangal-Gadigal land through its existing historical and environmental prominence, as well as to introduce a new realm of social and environmental wellness.
PA[II]SE. features spaces that operate in pauses, which individually micro-focus on the understanding of the environmental, behavioural, social and experiential aspects of the universe. The geographical area of Rozelle, as well as the local community, situates itself along the Bay precinct which is an extension to the Darling Harbour and Circular Quay shoreline. The Rozelle community in its current situation, finds itself neglected from the pleasures of community interventions, due to the current underdeveloped use of the shoreline, resulting in a disconnection between people and site.
PA[II]SE. explores a new progressive wellness journey within the White Bay Power station. Part experiential, social, environmental and behavioural, the space simulates the notion of start + pause, where there is an immersive interactive journey from transition to experience. The wellness centre aims to utilise a progressive gradual journey of personal and community evolvement to establish stronger and mindful connections to people, public and place. Each space aims to pause and improve an aspect of oneself and community.
