White Bay Power Station (W.B.P.S) was the longest serving Sydney power station and is the only one to retain a representative set of machinery and items associated with the generation of electricity in the early and mid twentieth century. This development of power generation at White Bay contributed to the expansion of the economy of Sydney and New South Wales.
When we confront such a historic heritage architecture, which has contributed tremendously to the cessation of power generation development, we should not isolate it from the historic list, but reintegrate it into nature, the community and the population.
The W.B.P.S symbolizes the industrial advancement of Sydney, the evolution of the times and the perpetuation of memory, but it should also be placed in the context of our infinite expectations for the future. The collision of history and prospect, the interaction between humanity and environment, and the boundless tolerance of groups in the community, all unfold in this "Coexistence Time Tunnel”. That is a transit point where recognizes and thrives the integration of psychological and physical, witnessing cultural renovations, historical changes and contributing to a seamless connection between people and their environment through sensory experience.
